One's first impression of Seseiba is that she's a youthful lalafell with a calm and pleasant demeanour. Both are incorrect. While she can be cordial with strangers, she has very little tolerance for fools, and with few exceptions, will not hesitate to demonstrate why she was known as the Ice Witch in her homeland.

Though she stands at a mere 2'10" and looks incredibly youthful for her age, don't let this dark-skinned, silver-eyed lalafell fool you into a false sense of security lest she decide that you'd make a decent ice statue. She tends to favour lightweight, purple-coloured robes, clothing worn in her homeland of Meracydia, though she's lately been wearing a frilly purple dress on her nights at the Apothecafe.

She can see outlines of objects and beings infused with aether, along with a desaturated semblance of their hue; otherwise, she is completely blind, using a small dragonet she's trained over the years to be her eyes.

Rarely taking students, she eventually did take one who would later be known as Glitchy Aster, one who proved to be one of her greatest challenges. Though they were often at odds, she did manage to teach him the art of black magery, mentoring him until he left their homeland.

For reasons unclear to all but herself, Seseiba decided to follow Glitchy to Eorzea. She claims it's because she wanted to experience the world outside of Meracydia, but the truth as to why she actually did so remains a mystery.

Soon after Glitchy opened the Apothecafe, Seseiba paid him a visit at his new endeavour. Noting how busy the place was, she volunteered to work there, again for unknown reasons.

Marius stands at an imposing 6'8", and his stern gaze leaves no room for compromise. He keeps his long brown hair tied up in a bun behind his head. He has a scar dangerously close to his left eye, but good luck asking him about it.

Don't let this quiet Elezen fool you -- he will cheerfully manipulate you into giving him the clothes off your back. He is a man of very little words, but those he speaks carry a great deal of volume.

==Background==

The former captain of the Raging Wolves, Marius' life changed when a number of his crew mutinied, leaving him to the gallows in a remote Limsan gaol. By some stroke of luck -- or was it divine intervention? -- he managed to escape with his only living crew member, Soreas Lennart. They parted ways in Aleport, and a number of years would pass before the two would be reunited.

Now, Marius works as a trader in Radz-at-Han, brokering deals both above board and not. He enjoys his retirement from piracy, though he stays on his guard at all times, knowing that he's still wanted by the Maelstrom for the crimes he committed aboard the ''Ocean's Whore''.

==Reunion and Untempering==

While negotiating with another merchant in the markets of Radz-at-Han, Marius was approached by Soreas, who happened to come across him by pure chance while visiting the city. Though he barely reacted outwardly, he was shocked to find his former navigator to be hale and whole. Even more surprising was the fact that he was now ''married'', something Soreas swore he'd never do, and was also accompanied by a lalafell he called his 'best mate'.

After visiting the trio at Soreas' house, an unfortunate truth came to light; the divine intervention that had freed him and Soreas from death row had been the work of a primal. Worse, he was still tempered from the act -- from the previous incarnation of Overmind, to be specific -- which was at odds with the primal's current summoning.

Through considerable effort and with the use of Soreas' aether reserves, Overmind managed to undo the former captain's tempering; this released Marius from the primal's influence, though at the cost of the latter having to reveal his true nature to him.

The truth is that Soreas was approached by a mysterious Au Ra businessman early in his career; he offered to back him monetarily for seemingly very little return.

Eager to breathe life into his career, Soreas accepted.

Almost overnight, his fanbase grew, with word of this rising upstart from Limsa Lominsa reaching far and wide. Making his home in Ul'dah, there seemed to be no limit to the heights he could reach.

Said benefactor, however, was revealed to be the primal Overmind; using his power to enhance Soreas' voice, he uses the resulting fan adoration for their idol as a source of aether. Now that his songbird knows the truth, however, he keeps him close, making sure he wouldn't do anything hasty.

Serving as a cabin boy at first, he gained the captain and most of the crew's confidence, eventually becoming their navigator.

After an ill-fated foray to the Cieldalaes, most of the crew mutinied, betraying both their captain as well as Soreas, turning them in to the Yellowjackets in exchange for a place within their ranks. Tormented by having to watch his former crewmates march to the gallows, Soreas and Marius would have met the same fate if not for a miraculous-seeming escape that let the two live. However, now wanted by the Yellowjackets, the pair decided to part ways, with Soreas escaping to Kugane and hiding for the next decade as an ijin.

Eventually, he made his way back to Gridania, posing as a trader in order to make some coin. After enlisting as a trader to a crafting guild, he found that he was quite good at this line of work, and he became a member of the guild despite not having any crafting experience.

Soreas was eventually discovered by Limsa Lominsa and arrested for his crimes; he eventually received a conditional pardon in exchange for working for the Maelstrom as required.

After the Calamity struck and the crafters guild was destroyed, Soreas decided to return to Kugane to clear his mind and to recuperate. During that time, he learned the art of ninjutsu from a shinobi who had fled the unrest in Doma.

Five years later, Soreas returned to Gridania to find that the place looked both different and not at the same time. Gone was the giant tree that had served as the guild's home, and no one knew where the former guildmembers had scattered.

After taking the time to track people down, he managed to find Rathe, a prominent member of the former guild, who had managed to rebuild the guild in all but name at her home. He was warmly welcomed back -- she took out a Magitek Reaper she had salvaged and began firing at him -- and the guild began its rebirth, attracting members old and new into its ranks.

Soreas encountered a guild member named Tatsuya Mikami, an imposing Au Ra with sharp, piercing blue eyes. True to character, Soreas tried to flirt with him, eventually encountering him in a dream that night where he found himself being propositioned for sex.

That was the only encouragement Soreas needed to meet up with him the next day, and sure enough, they slept together. Soreas attempted to take control of the situation; however, not only did he discover Tatsuya didn't appreciate that sort of thing, Soreas found himself falling under a strange influence that was fogging up his mind.

When Soreas awoke later, his learned that his partner was the primal Overmind. Unable to resist him despite the Blessing of Light and falling further under his control through physical contact, he began doing his bidding, gathering both aether and unsuspecting mortals in order to enthrall them and to grow his power.

His body changed the suit the primal’s whims, the most telling feature being his height. One could simply dismiss him as an unusually tall lalafell, but those who can see past his meticulous glamour could see that he’s much lither, much more aethereal... with small, white wings to complement his primal-corrupted form.

Becoming the primal's consort and high priest, it didn't take long for him to become fully corrupted. His loyalty to him was absolute. He would end up doing anything and everything for his new master… even nearly giving him his precious guildmates, the people who he considered his family.

He had a new family now.

==Present Day==

As time passed, Overmind became fond of his little consort; though difficult to tell if his feelings were due to his enthrallment or otherwise, Soreas felt the same. Overmind and Soreas wed on [November 20], though not without consequences; another primal, Susano, crashed their post-wedding activities. How he found out about the wedding is still a mystery to the two.

After the events in the Aitascope and discovering that the methods taught by the Ascians resulted in corrupted primal summonings, Overmind became resolved to exist in this world as a properly summoned entity. Soreas, along with all the other thralls, became untempered, and the two worked to ensure that a future summoning would be as proper as possible.

After the two finished their preparations, Soreas proceeded with the resummoning, and succeeded in bringing back his husband and former master. A majestic being, one with six wings instead of four, one with aethereal raiment uncorrupted, stood before him, albeit bereft of memories. Offering him a vessel containing his former memories – his wedding ring, in this case – the two were reunited, along with the handful of former slaves who remained after the untempering.

Today, Soreas still lives in the former harem along with Overmind. He's still recovering from his mental corruption; despite the primal's lack of tempering aura, he'll still sometime space out if he exhibits his power. He still retains any physical corruption, and he has no desire to have it reversed.

Outside his home, Soreas keeps a glamour on him to hide the physical changes. Someone very astute in aetherology would be able to see right through it, however.

==Background==

Soreas rose to popularity a few years ago, going from an average pop singer to one beloved by thousands of fans who come out from all corners of Eorzea to see his concerts. Some credit his growing experience in the music world; others swear his singing voice has become more enticing over time.

The truth is that Soreas was approached by a mysterious Au Ra businessman early in his career; he offered to back him monetarily for seemingly very little return.

Eager to breathe life into his career, Soreas accepted.

Almost overnight, his fanbase grew, with word of this rising upstart from Limsa Lominsa reaching far and wide. Making his home in Ul'dah, there seemed to be no limit to the heights he could reach.

Said benefactor, however, was revealed to be the primal Overmind; using his power to enhance Soreas' voice, he uses the resulting fan adoration for their idol as a source of power. Now that his songbird knows the truth, however, he keeps him close, making sure he wouldn't do anything hasty.

He was warmly welcomed back -- she took out a Magitek Reaper she had salvaged and began firing at him -- and the guild began its rebirth, attracting members old and new into its ranks.

Soreas encountered a guild member named Tatsuya Mikami, an imposing Au Ra with sharp, piercing blue eyes. True to character, Soreas tried to flirt with him, eventually encountering him in a dream that night where he found himself being propositioned for sex.

That was the only encouragement Soreas needed to meet up with him the next day, and sure enough, they slept together. Soreas attempted to take control of the situation; however, not only did he discover Tatsuya didn't appreciate that sort of thing, Soreas found himself falling under a strange influence that was fogging up his mind.

When Soreas awoke later, his learned that his partner was the primal Overmind. Unable to resist him despite the Blessing of Light and falling further under his control through physical contact, he began doing his bidding, gathering both aether and unsuspecting mortals in order to enthrall them and to grow his power.

His body changed the suit the primal’s whims, the most telling feature being his height. One could simply dismiss him as an unusually tall lalafell, but those who can see past his meticulous glamour could see that he’s much lither, much more aethereal... with small, white wings to complement his primal-corrupted form.Becoming the primal's consort and high priest, it didn't take long for him to become fully corrupted. His loyalty to him was absolute. He would end up doing anything and everything for his new master… even nearly giving him his precious guildmates, the people who he considered his family.

He had a new family now.

==Present Day==

As time passed, Overmind became fond of his little consort; though difficult to tell if his feelings were due to his enthrallment or otherwise, Soreas felt the same. Overmind and Soreas wed on [November 20], though not without consequences; another primal, Susano, crashed their post-wedding activities. How he found out about the wedding is still a mystery to the two.

After the events in the Aitascope and discovering that the methods taught by the Ascians resulted in corrupted primal summonings, Overmind became resolved to exist in this world as a properly summoned entity. Soreas, along with all the other thralls, became untempered, and the two worked to ensure that a future summoning would be as proper as possible.

After the two finished their preparations, Soreas proceeded with the resummoning, and succeeded in bringing back his husband and former master. A majestic being, one with six wings instead of four, one with aethereal raiment uncorrupted, stood before him, albeit bereft of memories. Offering him a vessel containing his former memories – his wedding ring, in this case – the two were reunited, along with the handful of former slaves who remained after the untempering.

Today, Soreas still lives in the former harem along with Overmind. He's still recovering from his mental corruption; despite the primal's lack of tempering aura, he'll still sometime space out if he exhibits his power. He still retains any physical corruption, and he has no desire to have it reversed.

Outside his home, Soreas keeps a glamour on him to hide the physical changes. Someone very astute in aetherology would be able to see right through it, however.

==Plot Hooks==

Don't know how to get Soreas' attention? Here are a few ideas:

* Soreas does work from the Maelstrom as part of the deal for his freedom. If someone affiliated comes calling, he'll have to answer to them.

* Soreas radiates a fair amount of aether, and anyone who can sense it would immediately tell that there's something more than meets the eye when it comes to this lalafell.

* Soreas tries to be anywhere between cordial to friendly with other primals, depending on which one. Encountering someone else who's enthralled, or even another primal, would surely pique his interest.

Soreas Lennart, in this alternate universe, is a rising star in Modern Eorzea, capturing hearts and more through his siren-like voice.

==Background==

Soreas rose to popularity a few years ago, going from an average pop singer to one beloved by thousands of fans who come out from all corners of Eorzea to see his concerts. Some credit his growing experience in the music world; others swear his singing voice has become more enticing over time.

The truth is that Soreas was approached by a mysterious Au Ra businessman early in his career; he offered to back him monetarily for seemingly very little return.

Eager to breathe life into his career, Soreas accepted.

Almost overnight, his fanbase grew, with word of this rising upstart from Limsa Lominsa reaching far and wide. Making his home in Ul'dah, there seemed to be no limit to the heights he could reach.

Said benefactor, however, was revealed to be the primal Overmind; using his power to enhance Soreas' voice, he uses the resulting fan adoration for their idol as a source of power. Now that his songbird knows the truth, however, he keeps him close, making sure he wouldn't do anything hasty.

For all intents and purposes, Soreas seems like a unassuming (but very friendly) merchant-turned-leader of a small crafting guild. However, he hides a secret that most people don't know -- and he'd like to keep it that way.

==Physical Description==

Standing at 3'5", this unusually tall Plainsfolk Lalafell has long silver hair that’s kept in a braid at the nape of his neck. He has bright blue eyes, and he has very fair skin. Soreas is fit, and his diminutive size hides the fact that he’s quite familiar with battle.

Soreas keeps several outfits; these days, he's fond of the silken finery from Thavnair, wearing dancer's garb in blue even when fighting physically. He frequently wears a long earring made of scintillant metal on his left ear.

==First Impression==

Soreas is extremely cheerful and easy-going. There are very few things that will faze him (except for Glitchy!), and he generally takes a laid-back approach when it comes to situations. Though he's now married, he’s still a hopeless flirt, and is especially friendly with the ladies, though he’ll never force himself on anyone.

==Before the Calamity==

Soreas was born from the union of, as he puts it, "a drunkard and a whore". He never knew his parents, having been surrendered to an orphanage as soon as he was born. He longed for freedom even at a young age, wanting to become a pirate and sail the seas.

He realised his dream when he stowed away aboard a pirate ship, ''The Ocean's Whore'', one belonging to ''The Raging Wolves''. After nearly being thrown overboard by the crew, their captain, [[Marius Windelan]], took him in. Serving as a cabin boy at first, he gained the captain and most of the crew's confidence, eventually becoming their navigator.

After an ill-fated foray to the Cieldalaes, most of the crew mutinied, betraying both their captain as well as Soreas, turning them in to the Yellowjackets in exchange for a place within their ranks. Tormented by having to watch his former crewmates march to the gallows, Soreas and Marius would have met the same fate if not for a miraculous-seeming escape that let the two live. However, now wanted by the Yellowjackets, the pair decided to part ways, with Soreas escaping to Kugane and hiding for the next decade as an ijin.

Eventually, he made his way back to Gridania, posing as a trader in order to make some coin. After enlisting as a trader to a crafting guild, he found that he was quite good at this line of work, and he became a member of the guild despite not having any crafting experience.

Soreas was eventually discovered by Limsa Lominsa and arrested for his crimes; he eventually received a conditional pardon in exchange for working for the Maelstrom as required.

==After the Calamity==

After the Calamity struck and the crafters guild was destroyed, Soreas decided to return to Kugane to clear his mind and to recuperate. During that time, he learned the art of ninjutsu from a shinobi who had fled the unrest in Doma.

Five years later, Soreas returned to Gridania to find that the place looked both different and not at the same time. Gone was the giant tree that had served as the guild's home, and no one knew where the former guildmembers had scattered.

==Physical Description==

Jenis is a Dunesfolk Lalafell; standing at 3'2", he's considered tall for a lalafell; while he's not overweight, some could perceive him as stocky. He has fine brown hair with orange highlights, with a tuft of hair sticking out at the crown of his head. His skin is fair, bordering on olive, and he has olive-green glassy eyes that are typical of the Dunesfolk.

Jenis prefers wearing robes, and his current favourite one is one made of astral silk. However, when practising alchemy, he switches to a long white coat to protect himself from the caustic materials he tends to employ.

==First Impression==

If he looks at you with contempt, be thankful he's at least deigned to gaze upon you. Jenis claims he's a Master of alchemy, a title he unfortunately earned through his love for the craft. He carries himself like he's several malms above everyone, but if one manages to get on his good side -- a rare feat indeed -- he can become a loyal and trusted friend.

==Background==

An only child, Jenis, born Jejenara Rurunara, lived with his family, who was part of a very close-knit nomadic tribe. At a very young age, he discovered that he had an aptitude for Conjury -- the ability to feel the elemental spirits around him and to use their power -- a revelation that brought joy to his parents and his tribe. However, Jenis wanted nothing of it, and he fought to close his senses off to the spirits; he was only partially successful, and perhaps as an act of retribution from those elemental forces, he found that everytime he was forced to use Conjury, he would end up with a splitting migraine that would render him useless for a few days.

Jenis then discovered the art of alchemy, and he embraced it as a way to "perform magic without resorting to elementalism". His family was extremely disappointed in him, and as a result of the increasing pressure to foster his conjury, he left the tribe and travelled to the three city-states in an effort to find someplace to call home. He settled in Ul'dah, living in an apartment above a cafe called ''Mimosa's Chai''.

==The Calamity==

As a Warrior of Light, Jenis became involved with the events leading up to the Calamity. However, he did not go to Carteneau out of fear for his own life and that of his new wife, Tasha. He absconded from his duty, preferring to practice his trade in relative safety.

==Plot Hooks==

*Jenis is an amateur cook and also a bit of a foodie. He's always up to trying new things, especially exotic foods from other regions.
*Likewise, as a master alchemist, Jenis is keen on acquiring new formulas. As of this writing, he's yet to venture to Thavnair.

Standing at 3'5", this unusually tall Plainsfolk Lalafell has long silver hair that’s kept in a braid at the nape of his neck. He has bright blue eyes, and he has very fair skin. Soreas is fit, and his diminutive size hides the fact that he’s quite familiar with battle.

Soreas keeps several outfits; these days, he's fond of the silken finery from Thavnair, wearing dancer's garb in blue even when fighting physically. He frequently wears a long earring made of scintillant metal on his left ear.

He realised his dream when he stowed away aboard a pirate ship, ''The Ocean's Whore'', one belonging to ''The Raging Wolves''. After nearly being thrown overboard by the crew, their captain, [[Marius Windelan]], took him in. Serving as a cabin boy at first, he gained the captain and most of the crew's confidence, eventually becoming their navigator.

After an ill-fated foray to the Cieldalaes, most of the crew mutinied, betraying both their captain as well as Soreas, turning them in to the Yellowjackets in exchange for a place within their ranks. Tormented by having to watch his former crewmates march to the gallows, Soreas and Marius would have met the same fate if not for a miraculous-seeming escape that let the two live. However, now wanted by the Yellowjackets, the pair decided to part ways, with Soreas escaping to Kugane and hiding for the next decade as an ijin.

Eventually, he made his way back to Gridania, posing as a trader in order to make some coin. After enlisting as a trader to a crafting guild, he found that he was quite good at this line of work, and he became a member of the guild despite not having any crafting experience.

Soreas was eventually discovered by Limsa Lominsa and arrested for his crimes; he eventually received a conditional pardon in exchange for working for the Maelstrom as required.

After the Calamity struck and the crafters guild was destroyed, Soreas decided to return to Kugane to clear his mind and to recuperate. During that time, he learned the art of ninjutsu from a shinobi who had fled the unrest in Doma.

Five years later, Soreas returned to Gridania to find that the place looked both different and not at the same time. Gone was the giant tree that had served as the guild's home, and no one knew where the former guildmembers had scattered.

After taking the time to track people down, he managed to find Rathe, a prominent member of the former guild, who had managed to rebuild the guild in all but name at her home. He was warmly welcomed back -- she took out a Magitek Reaper she had salvaged and began firing at him -- and the guild began its rebirth, attracting members old and new into its ranks.

Soreas encountered a guild member named Tatsuya Mikami, an imposing Au Ra with sharp, piercing blue eyes. True to character, Soreas tried to flirt with him, eventually encountering him in a dream that night where he found himself being propositioned for sex.

Offering him a vessel containing his former memories – his wedding ring, in this case – the two were reunited, along with the handful of former slaves who remained after the untempering.

Today, Soreas still lives in the former harem along with Overmind. He's still recovering from his mental corruption; despite the primal's lack of tempering aura, he'll still sometime space out if he exhibits his power. He still retains any physical corruption, and he has no desire to have it reversed.

Outside his home, Soreas keeps a glamour on him to hide the physical changes. Someone very astute in aetherology would be able to see right through it, however.

==Plot Hooks==

Don't know how to get Soreas' attention? Here are a few ideas:

* Soreas does work from the Maelstrom as part of the deal for his freedom. If someone affiliated comes calling, he'll have to answer to them.

* Soreas radiates a fair amount of aether, and anyone who can sense it would immediately tell that there's something more than meets the eye when it comes to this lalafell.

* Soreas tries to be anywhere between cordial to friendly with other primals, depending on which one. Encountering someone else who's enthralled, or even another primal, would surely pique his interest.

* Soreas co-leads a crafting guild. If there are any large or unusual orders, Soreas would be one of the first to know, and would possibly be the first point of contact.
