			**The airship that went down was actually people fleeing the Empire; the airship was damaged during their escape, but it managed to limp its way to the eastern continent before going down. The escapees have integrated into the village of Glimweald and are being protected by them.
			**The wreck itself offers no clues as to what happened, except for obvious weapons damage. There are chimaera who've made the wreck their home, though.

This suffices to protect sailors most of the time, but on occasion, the storms grow intense, and enormous tidal waves form which crash upon the shores of the lands bordering the storm; the most severe of these have been known to wipe smaller settlements off the map, swallowing them up in the sea.
